AUDIENCE RESEARCH
Following this questionnaire I compared the results of 24 people. 42% of them were females and 58% of them were males. Some of the candidates were college students, young adults between the ages of 20 - 30 or adults in their 3os. I included these ages in order to find the particular age group that I should be focusing on when producing my music magazine.
From my questionnaire I can conclude the following:
The audience which im targeting should be teenagers (15-18) and young adults (18-25/26) . The favourite music genre is pop followed by rock and R&B music. Most of the candidates said that they use to get a copy of a music magazine monthly so my music magazine is likely to be a monthly magazine. When it comes to colour scheme, the majority of the participants answered that they would like to see bright and fresh colour scheme or maybe want to see a use of subtle colours. The participants showed interest in a fandom section which will be focusing on different fans group every time (for example, 'Belibers', 'Rihanna Navy', 'Little Monsters'). Also, it came up like extras included inside the magazine such as stickers, posters etc. would attract my targeted audience to buy the magazine. When the candidates were asked about competitions and diffetent activitis in order to win prizes (such as albums or 'behind the scene' ticket for a live show), they replied that it would definetly attract them to buy a copy and get the chance to win stuff. According to the questionnair , the price that the participants are the most likely to pay for the magazine would be between £3- £5.
